AWS Well-Architected Review

Developing and architecting an infrastructure for your application is not an easy task. The task is made even harder with high requirements for security, performance and resiliency. AWS has developed the AWS Well-Architected Framework that can be used as a checklist to verify if your architecture and implementation fulfil these requirements.

AWS Well-Architected Framework

The AWS Well-Architected Framework contains five distinct pillars used to evaluate and compare your architecture and implementation against AWS best practices. These pillars - Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency and Cost Optimisation - give the guidance to produce stable, efficient and scalable systems.

The AWS Well-Architected Framework includes topics, questions and references to best practises to evaluate the current governance, architecture and implementation. Involving stakeholders and contributors is essential to getting the benefits from using the AWS Well-Architected Framework. However, the most value from using the AWS Well-Architected Framework is often gained by using an experienced and certified AWS Well-Architected partner.

Well-Architected Review

Cybercom can conduct a tried and tested AWS Well-Architected Review to evaluate your workload implementation. Our professionally certified Senior AWS Architects have been trained and accredited by AWS on the AWS Well-Architected Framework and have all conducted several reviews. You will benefit from a skilled facilitator familiar with the framework able to reflect your situation to other customers' implementations and practises.

Cybercom's advice and recommendations direct your design towards the following general principles:

  • No more guessing on capacity needs - Pay for what you use
  • Testing your application design at production scale
  • Automate everything
  • Allow your architecture to evolve
  • Embrace data driven architectures
  • Utilising tradeoffs for your gain

The Cybercom Well-Architected Review covers all the five pillars in the framework in a one day workshop. Key stakeholder participation is essential for a fruitful review. Cybercom will provide a detailed report with prioritised findings and optimisation proposals after the review workshop. The report enables informed decisions on how to improve the security, performance and resiliency of your architecture and implementation.

Cybercom is one of the few approved AWS Well-Architected Partners. External link, opens in new window. Cybercom Well-Architected Review delivers value greatly beyond the framework itself.

Book your Remote Well-Architected Review

Developing and enhancing your design and implementation should not stop due to restrictions on travel and physical meetings. We want to help your efforts by providing the Cybercom Well-Architected Review remotely.

We have refined our process and tooling carefully to deliver the review in a remote format. The Remote Well-Architected Review is delivered by the same Senior AWS Architects as in the more traditional physical workshop model.
